These lessons bring together reading, writing and science. It builds good language use into the science curriculum. The lessons are grouped for grades 1-2 and 3-4. It can readily be used interchangeably as needed. The reading skills involve visualizing, questioning, defining important ideas and understanding text structures. These skills resonate with the science skills of making inferences, predictions and drawing conclusions. Learners engage in various problem-solving tasks through social interaction with others.
