DigiCampus identified the need to digitally transform education and have been working tirelessly to build a comprehensive online learning platform to guide education in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. All subjects within the South African CAPS curriculum are presented by qualified and experienced teachers, in a virtual classroom setting to allow any pupil (Gr R to 12) the opportunity to learn 24/7, 365 days a year, on any device. Free access to all.

Studies have shown that the human brain processes videos 60 000 times faster than it does with text.

Register and enjoy all the different features, in the setting of a virtual classroom, from the teacher presenting the lesson, to seamless switching from whiteboards/notes or diagrams to on-screen slides used to conduct the individual lessons.

What is DigiCampus?

DigiCampus is a digital hub (online platform) consisting of a comprehensive and growing library of video lessons covering all grades and most subjects of the Curriculum Assessment Policy Statement curriculum in both English and Afrikaans.

The Western Cape Education Department (WCED) has formed a partnership with DigiCampus to make this online resource available to all learners and teachers at secondary and special schools for the FET band (Grades 10 -12). This is provided at no cost to the users and the offer is valid until April 2021. This offer aims to support blended learning opportunities and to enhance teaching and learning from home or at school. These video-based resources can be used as part of catch up classes, for revision purposes or as directed by subject teachers

How to access the video lessons

  1. Go to the WCED ePortal and follow the steps below.
  2. Click on the Learners Tab, scroll to the Wonderful Websites menu and click on the DigiCampus link.
