Drawing is a graphic language that is used in the building industry to convey graphically the ideas and
information necessary for the construction of a building. This lesson provides a broad outline of dimensioning, as well as the application of drawing standards, as set out in the South African National Standard Code of Practice for technical drawings. You will also learn more about the interpretation of advanced drawings by drawing site plans, floor plans and elevations of multi-storey buildings. Basic drawing symbols relating to the built environment, in accordance with SANS for building drawings, will be used.
