Welcome to the inspiring world of Creative Arts! In this subject it is important to explore, experiment, experience and express your thoughts, ideas and the subject content you have learnt. You will develop your voice, body and mind so that you can express yourself in many ways through Music, Visual Art, Drama and Dance. Creative Arts will also help you to become a disciplined, focused and creative human being. All these qualities prepare you for any career you may choose to follow one day.
Constant exposure to the content, concepts and skills of Visual Art, through a range of different activities that vary in depth and breadth, will help learners develop a rich visual language and related skills. Critical and reflective thinking skills are developed, and learners reap enormous satisfaction from being able to express themselves in symbolic, visual ways. Progression in the Visual Art is both cyclical and linear. Teaching should be age appropriate and sensitive to the development of genuine creativity. For those learners who wish to select FET Design or Visual Art as subjects to study in the FET band, the study of Visual Art in Senior Phase is crucial to equip them with the necessary foundational skills.
