Acclaimed South African choreographer/dancer Gregory Maqoma performed in Seattle, October 2013. His intriguing blend of traditional African dance and contemporary movement explodes in "Exit/Exist," an exploration of his ancestry. This short doc, Journey: The Art and Wisdom of Maqoma, shares his path from a child watching Michael Jackson to his position as a community leader, and features footage from a masterclass and discussion hosted by Velocity Dance Center in connection with his performances at On the Boards.
