WCED policy on the management of learner pregnancy in public schools

The aim of the WCED’s policy on managing learner pregnancy in public schools is to protect the right of access by pregnant learners to education and the same opportunities for development as any other learner eligible to attend school. The policy provides guidelines on how on how manage continued access to school by pregnant learners and the roles and responsibilities of all concerned, including the pregnant learner, the learner’s parents, the father, if associated with the school, and the principal and staff of the school.
