2025 FET Operational Plan

While the directorate supports all teachers and learners in all schools, priority will be to utilise data to profile schools, teachers and learners in order to predict based on trends and thus respond by providing differentiated support to ensure maximum impact. Focus will be on support to novice teachers, teachers from underperforming schools, progressed learners and learners at risk. Emphasis will also be placed on the revised “inclusive basket of criteria”, which includes throughput rate, participation and success in Mathematics and Physical Sciences, Accounting and the number of subject distinctions.

The directorate will continue to focus on our competitive advantage of profiling schools, teachers and learners and implement a differentiated support program to achieve our goals and have a positive impact in enhancing the quality of teaching and learning in every classroom in every school in the province.
