Biography of Mr. Jandre Gerber

About Mr. Jandre Gerber:

I am Jandré Gerber, currently serving as a Subject Advisor for Natural Sciences and Technology (Grades 4–9), Technology (Grades 7–9), and Coding and Robotics Coordinator in the Overberg Education District. I began my teaching career at Okkie Smuts Primary School, where I taught for seven years. In 2016, I completed my Honours Degree in Education Management, Law, and Finance Systems. During my time at Okkie Smuts, I was appointed Deputy Head in 2017 and acted as Principal in 2019. That same year, I was the District Winner in the National Teaching Awards and runner-up at the provincial level. Since 2021, I have worked as a Subject Advisor, supporting teachers and promoting innovative teaching practices. I am committed to improving education through practical leadership and the integration of technology in the classroom.
