About Ms. Le-Anne Donson:
Le-Anne Donson is a dedicated Senior Educational Specialist for Technology, Coding, and Robotics in the Eden and Central Karoo Education District of the Western Cape Education Department. With over a decade of classroom experience, including serving as a Departmental Head at a multigrade school, she brings both practical teaching expertise and strategic leadership to her current advisory role. Le-Anne holds a Bachelor of Education degree and is known for her ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage complex educational projects, and deliver impactful teacher support programmes. She has a deep passion for integrating emerging technologies into education, empowering both teachers and learners to thrive in the digital age. As an advocate for equitable access to digital learning, Le-Anne plays a pivotal role in curriculum support, resource development, and professional development workshops across the region. She is particularly focused on promoting Coding and Robotics in rural and under-resourced schools, often collaborating with national and provincial stakeholders to drive innovation.
In 2024, she helped pioneer the ECKED Coding and Robotics Hackathon, a regional initiative aimed at sparking creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving among learners through hands-on, challenge-based learning experiences.
