About Patricia Arendse
With over 25 years of experience in the field of education, Patricia Arendse specializes in supporting children with special education needs. Her extensive background includes training teachers and parents, as well as providing support in both special and mainstream school settings. Through her integrated approach, Patricia Arendse holds a B.Sc. in Occupational Therapy (1995) and an M.Sc. in Occupational Therapy (2020) from the University of the Western Cape. Since 2017, she has been the Therapy Programme Manager at the Western Cape Education Department (WCED), where she leads and manages therapy programmes within the Directorate of Inclusive & Specialised Education Support. Patricia is dedicated to promoting inclusive education and developing effective support strategies for learners with diverse needs, ensuring that all children receive the education they deserve.
