Consumer Studies is a study of the Consumer and his interaction with the environment to satisfy his needs for food and nutrition, clothing, and housing while preserving and sustaining the scarce resources in the environment. It focuses on developing practical skills in learners enabling them to contribute to the economic development of the country as self-sustained entrepreneurs.

Life Sciences is the scientific study of living things from molecular level to their interactions with one another and their environments. Knowledge production in science is an ongoing endeavor. Scientific knowledge changes over time as scientists improve their knowledge and understanding and as people change their views of the world around them.
